Polly is a small 8 year old retired breeder. Her weight now is 12 1/2 lbs and that suits her very well. She came as most puppymill dogs come-desperate for physical and emotional care. Her tail wags nonstop, she has a lovely smiley face, she's sweet and affectionate and gets along with her foster siblings completely.
She had to be clipped down to remove the old stained hair but she is showing the beginning of a beautiful coat. Her eyesight is excellent-she notices everything, no heart murmurs heard, her hearing is great, and doesn't have any patella issues. She has 8 teeth left after all the horrendous ones were removed and now she adores food-she whirls and twirls in front of you as you carry her dish. I soften her food and give her a few hard kibble with it. When she came she was beginning her second week of heat and so she was just spayed this past week. Housetraining is a work in progress and she is quick to accomplish when she is taken outside.
Polly may be small but she has a terrific personality and she is very adaptable learning from the other dogs-within a day she was scampering up the steps to the couch and bed as if she'd done it all her life, she now sits for a treat because the others do. Polly is going to be a wonderful companion for someone , she’s a terrific little Cavalier.
