Meet Lucky!
Lucky is a 9 year old boy, surrendered by his lifelong owner. Because of illness, she was no longer able to care for him. It is obvious that he was loved and well -cared for.
Lucky is exactly what his name suggests, a total gem of a dog who brings an easy, happy energy wherever he goes. He’s incredibly sweet, gentle, and loves being around people. Whether it’s someone he knows or a brand new face, Lucky greets everyone like an old friend.
He’s great with other dogs and has been living happily with his two foster brothers. He enjoys playtime, toys, and (unsurprisingly) treats, but he’s just as content curling up next to you for a cozy couch cuddle.
Lucky absolutely loves long walks and being out and about, so he’d thrive in a home where he can get plenty of exercise and fresh air. If you’re someone who enjoys daily walks or an active lifestyle, he’ll happily be your sidekick.
At home, he’s an easy, low-drama companion. He’s fully housebroken, sleeps soundly through the night (preferably in bed with you), and is perfectly content to wake up whenever you do. Unlike his 2 foster brothers, he doesn’t even snore!
Lucky does have a heart murmur, which will require a yearly echocardiogram and a daily fish oil supplement, which he takes in his breakfast happily. He was seen by a cardiologist and had an echocardiogram and at this time, he does not need any additional medication and is otherwise happy, comfortable, and full of life. He has been cleared for his dental which is scheduled for March 31. We will be starting him on a low sodium food recommended by a cardiologist as well. He is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, recent dental and has been examined by our vet since his arrival.
