Sandy has become a very sweet girl, loving attention from people and enjoying other dogs in her foster home. She is less anxious than when she arrived and seems to be more comfortable that she isn't going to be left behind. Her ideal home would be one that includes her in their activities and doesn't leave her alone all day. She definitely needs a fenced yard and would definitely love other dogs in her forever home. You can see how she likes to curl up in the midst of other dogs.

 Sandy is a lovely 6-7 year-old blenheim female, another girl rescued from an Amish farm in Ohio. Sandy is an exceptional escape artist. Many mill rescues are known for their escape skills but Sandy's are exceptional. She has already climbed over a 5' wire fence. She is very much a people dog so if she can be with her person, watching or just hanging out with them, she will stay close. She is lovely girl and a wonderful companion. She weighs about 20 lbs and gets along with other dogs and is a quiet girl.

The best home for Sandy would be one with a fenced yard, someone who is there most of the day to spend time with her and just let her be a wonderful companion. Sandy would need to be around another Cavalier(s).  Homes with small children would not be suitable because of the increased risk of a dog escaping an open door. She's healthy and loves to sleep close to her foster mom on the bed and can always be found following her. She also loves her chew toys and is doing well with her housebreaking.
