Cavalier King Charles Spaniel (medium coat) : : Female : : Young : : Small Won't you think about adopting me?
Ginny is 8.9lbs of Black and Tan spunk! She was released to Lucky Star from a backyard breeder. She barks enthusiastically when excited, when it's feeding time and if she thinks she's going somewhere. She will also stop if asked. She has a lot of joy to share in her small body and will prove it to you. When she gives you "the eyes" she is impossible to resist. She can sleep in a crate just fine and currently eats in her crate. It helps her to focus on finishing her food and not be distracted by whatever else is going on. True sense of FOMO this girl has. She doesn't have any issues with territory, loves other dogs and cats. Her mission is getting her person to sit down so she can launch herself into your lap. She is fast as lightening in a tiny bottle. Ginny checks out negative for heart and eye issues, has been spayed and is up to date on her vaccines and microchipped. She is currently being treated for a UTI and will finish her course of medication soon. Ginny is a little more shy than Lilly and really doesn't like cold weather. She is mostly house trained but needs to be encouraged to go outside to do her business or carried out in inclement weather. She is eager to please and smart. She loves her food and treats and learns quickly what the routine is. She prefers to be in a stroller (due to her smallness) but loves going for walks as long as she is warm enough. She fits in a standard sling and being close to her person is what she lives for. She is not leash trained but could be with patience and consistent training. She will also need a securely fenced yard, is fast and could do agility. She is about a year and a half old. She definitely needs another dog to cuddle and play with. She loves to play and is learning how to play with toys. She is also a shadow to whomever has her. Very typical Cavalier in personality and devotion. Ginny is being fostered in Lansing, Michigan. Please consider your location before applying since we do not approve long distant adoptions or ship dogs. If approved, the adopter must be willing to drive to pick up Ginny. A securely fenced yard , a physical fence and another canine companion in the one are required. Please complete an application, then contact luckystarrescue@gmail.com of your interest.
