Sargeant is a 7 year-old Cavalier/Sheltie mix.  He really looks like a tri Cavalier.  He weighs about 30 lbs and there were no health issues noted during his vetting.  Sargeant was surrendered by his owner who could no longer keep him due to their own health issues. 

Sargeant loves people, car rides, walks……basically any activity that will include him.  He does not like to be crated and is anxious when crated.  There’s no need to crate him because he is housebroken and not destructive.  He’s just a good boy.  He gets along with other dogs, large and small and with cats as well. 

 Sargeant is a boy who learns the routine quickly and is good at following a household routine.  Whenever something is new to him, he will be a bit anxious until he is comfortable with it, then he settles down.  When he wants something, food or toys, he will bark.  Sargeant is not needy and will not get under foot.  He just likes to be with people and family and hang out with them. 

 The ideal home for Sargeant is one with several family members .  He needs to have people around and would not like to be left alone all day.  He would also get along well with other dogs.  As with most of our rescues, we prefer a securely fenced yard for Sargeant, not an invisible fence.  Please give this awesome boy a chance for a loving forever home.
