Max has been in a new foster home since June.  He gets along fine with all of the many Cavaliers in the home.  Max is very well behaved, housebroken and friendly.   He loves other dogs and even gets along with cats.
He loves to snuggle and to sleep on the bed.  Overall, he is a love and very affectionate.  Max loves attention from people and would do best in a home where there is someone home to spend time with him and not be at work all day long.  He just loves company and is a loving boy.   He loves daily walks and being with people.  He is a lovely dog and would be a wonderful addition to an attentive, loving home.
Max has an allergy to the storage mites that can sometimes be found in dry dog food.  His allergies are being controlled on a dose of 25mg of Atopica which he takes once a day.  He just needs to stay away from dry kibble and treats of any kind so he can avoid those pesky storage mites.   He's on a good diet which helps to control the issue and the cost of the diet and his medications is reasonable.

Max was  surrendered to a sanctuary by their owners because of a new baby in the home and they could no longer afford pet care.  He were taken in by a Lucky Star volunteer who is fostering him and she says he's a sweetie pie.
Max is 6 years old.  He has a low Grade 1 heart murmur and a Grade 1 patella on one knee.  Neither require any further treatment at this time.  As with all Cavaliers, an annual appointment with a cardiologist is strongly recommended to monitor any changes or progressions with the condition.  Max is friendly and sometimes vocal and loves to be with people and get attention.   No one gives you a better welcome home than Max.

Max is being fostered in New England.  We will consider applications for an applicant  who can continue the care that has been given in their foster home.  Please complete an application first, then contact mary401339@aol.com
