Cavalier King Charles Spaniel (medium coat) : : Female : : Adult : : Medium Won't you think about adopting me?
January 2026 Reba was returned 4 months after her adoption because of aggression with the other Cavalier in the home. This behavior was never seen in her first foster home with other dogs and now in another foster home where she sleeps on the bed with two other Cavaliers. There is no aggression. We can only guess is that the other Cavalier was very submissive and Reba appointed herself as the boss. Perhaps it was not corrected. She still is working on housebreaking which is mainly the responsibility of the owner to get her outside at regular times. She will not ask to go out. She is being fostered in Ann Arbor, MI. We still feel she is a wonderful girl who gets along with other dogs and has been exposed to cats and dog savvy children. An owner who can is the alpha and be in charge is recommended. As with all of our dogs, she needs a fenced yard , a canine companion and a location within a reasonable distance of her foster location.
November 2025
This pretty red-head, Reba is a 5 year old retired breeder from a farm in Ohio looking to find her forever home. She has no health issues that were noted at her exm and is a happy dog with her tail always wagging. She weighs 13.7 lbs. She has had plenty of time to adjust to being a pet. Her spay/dental were delayed because she went into heat shortly after coming to Lucky Star. Her surgeries are scheduled for Oct 22 and after she recovers , she is more than ready for a home of her own. She gets along well with cats, dogs, and all people. Reba velcros to people and once she’s your buddy she will always be at your side. She loves to spend time in the yard, exploring or just laying in the sun. Reba loves to be out and about so a fairly active home that will give her outdoor activity would be a good fit. She rarely barks except at meal time and she lets everyone know it’s time to eat. Reba would make anyone a perfect companion. She’s very adaptable to any situation – going for a walk, going for a car ride, or just on the couch watching TV as long as her person is there with her. A securely fenced yard is required, other canine companions in the home and preferably Cavalier experience. Reba is being fostered in Wheeling, WV.
