Molly is a 4-year-old female Cavalier King Charles Blenheim.  Molly is a surrender from a breeder.  Unlike a lot of breeder surrenders, Molly seems to have been socialized and taken good care of.  She meets people easily, not shy at all.  She does well with the other dog in her foster home but does not understand when he gets playful.  Nor does she show any interest in toys.  Hopefully, she will learn.

Molly is very food motivated and loves treats!  She eats well and is learning to be patient and wait her turn for treats.  She's a big girl who was 32 lbs when she came to us.  She's a big Cavalier but not overweight.

Molly is a typical Velcro dog.  She needs to be within a couple of feet of her person whether that be on the couch or the middle of the kitchen or bathroom floor.

Molly’s demeanor is very calm, gentle and affectionate.  She likes a lot of attention and affection and will let you know with a gentle paw tap on your arm if you are not giving her adequate attention. She’s a happy little girl that just wants to love and be loved although she’s still figuring all that out and can be quite awkward sometimes.

Molly has been doing well with her crate, leash and potty training.  She now goes into her “house” when requested and once inside does not complain.  Because potty training is a process, when I am unable to watch her or need to step away, she resides in her house.  When let outside to go potty, she seems to do better on her own. She seems to get distracted by having her person outside with her being more concerned with getting loved on then doing her business.  She’s does well on a leash but is hesitant when trying to put on her collar and leash.  Not sure if it’s because she doesn’t enjoy walks or because she’s unsure about the application of the collar/leash for some unknown reason.

Molly has been spayed, had dental care, exam and vaccinations.  She checks out pretty good with no health concerns at this time.

Molly is being fostered in Knoxville, TN.  Please be aware that we do not support long distance adoptions, so please consider your location first before applying.  We do not put dogs on planes or commercial transport services.  We require a securely fenced yard for all adoptions and a canine companion.  If you are interested in this sweet girl, please complete an application, then e-mail luckystarrescue@gmail.com of your interest.
