Morgan is a 4-year-old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel who recently retired from a breeding kennel in Arkansas and is now experiencing the joys of life as a beloved companion. Since arriving in foster care, Morgan has revealed himself to be a sweet, affectionate guy who loves nothing more than cuddling on the couch, curling up in a lap, and giving gentle kisses.

He has a soft spot for treats. Frozen green beans, strawberries, and peanut butter are his favorites. Bananas, however, are not his thing, and he would politely prefer they be left off the menu.

Morgan is fully housebroken and has excellent indoor manners. He’s content sleeping in his crate or snuggling up in bed with his foster parents. He’s also learning to walk on a leash and is making good progress. With a little more practice and possibly some obedience classes, Morgan is well on his way to becoming a confident walking buddy. Morgan has met a few cats and gets along well with them.

He especially enjoys spending time outside, whether it’s chasing squirrels or simply soaking up the sunshine on the deck.

Morgan would do best with a calm canine companion. He can be a bit protective of toys and of his favorite person, his foster dad, but he can be redirected, especially when treats are involved. While he loves attention from his foster dad, he’s perfectly fine sharing that attention with his second favorite person, his foster mom.

He can be a little shy around new people, especially women, but he’s already made great progress. At home, he warms up to visitors, especially men, and continues to grow in confidence every day.

Morgan is looking for a calm, loving home where he can continue to blossom. He will make a wonderful companion for someone who appreciates a loyal, playful dog with a big heart and a gentle soul.
