The Rainbow Bridge

This page is dedicated to all the prescious angels who have gone before us.  Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster. You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart. Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together.... Author unknown...

Mia
I said goodbye to my amazing cavalier Mia on July 1, 2017. I adopted her from Lucky Stars on September 25, 2009. She had a wonderful foster mom who had several cavaliers of her own. I brought my other dog Chloe along so they could meet and to see how they would get along. The meeting went well and Mia came to live with us in Colorado. Mia needed a lot of help with house training and Chloe was there to help with the training. We had wonderful walks in the forest and Mia loved chasing after Chloe and sniff at everything they came across. She loved boating on the lakes as well. Mia became a diabetic and she was submissive with the testing and shots and handled it all so well for a number of years. She was trooper and such a gentle loving dog. Mia has joined Chloe over the Rainbow Bridge and she is sorely missed and will always be in my heart.

Molly (LS Dolly)

Logan's sister This is Molly, (LS Dolly), adopted April, 2011. She went to the bridge on 10/19/15.

Muffin

Miss Muffin went to the Rainbow Bridge at the age of 14 1/2 on July 15, 2021.. Muffin spent the first 9 years of her life as  a breeder dog before she was rescued by Lucky Star. I was her foster Mom. She amazed me. She walked into my house and looked at me as if to say "What's next?" She never looked back on her old life. She embraced every day with joy. She was adopted by a wonderful family who have a special place in their hearts for senior dogs. She was loved every day of her life with them. She will be very missed. She is mourned by her family and Lucky Star rescue boy "Sarge" who was her loved senior companion in her forever home. Pat Wellmeier, Ohio Rescue Coordinator
