Penny is a petite, quiet 3 year old girl waiting for her forever home. She is retired from a commercial breeder in Ohio,  She loves cuddles on the couch with a human companion or with her foster brothers and sisters including cats but she also loves to explore the fenced in yard and run laps. A fenced in yard is a must with Penny as she follows right behind you and if you open a gate and aren’t aware of her she’ll dart out. Don’t let Penny’s size fool you she can hold her own with dogs and cats.

   Penny loves car rides and meeting new people. She may seem unsure at first but in a few minutes she’s right with you, tail wagging and ready for the next adventure. Penny is working on leash training and is getting much better. She had never been on a leash before so she wasn’t sure but she’s enjoying new places and meeting new people She loves to please so training should be easy. Penny is up to date on shots and has been spayed and has had a dental.

     Penny sleeps in a crate at night and when I leave the house. Because of her size she waits to be picked up and put on the couch or chair. She will jump down on her own. Her safety is number one and she voluntarily goes in the crate knowing she will be back out in no time.

   She would love to be in a house with older children – 10 and above due to her small size. My granddaughter calls her “the little one.” You need to be aware of where Penny is at all times as she sometimes crosses in front of you, causing a fall or injury.

    Penny is adaptable to any situation as long as she’s included in the fun. She would like a canine companion to hang out with ( a must) and a securely fenced yard.
