Jade has found her forever home. Another happy ending for a rescue!
January 25, 2010
Jade is a 3 ½ year old Blenheim female and is as gentle and sweet as they come. She has been spayed and is up-to-date on all vaccinations.
Jade came from a retired breeder and has English dog in her background. She is being fostered with her sister, and both have been doing quite well. It would be great if they could stay together as they are inseparable. Jade is extremely content to sit on a lap, on her dog bed or just to be in the same room with you. Jade has been learning some basics like sit and down and has been walking nicely on a leash. Jade’s house training is coming along very well and with her consistent schedule has had no accidents in the last 3 weeks. Jade is not afraid of anything and has been great with children and other dogs. She has not been too fond of my cat (I’m sure they would get used to each other, but my cat wants nothing to do with them) and chasing is sure fun. Jade is the most laid back dog I have ever met with no sign of any aggression.
Jade would be a great candidate as an agility dog as she is capable of scaling a 4ft fence without any trouble. I have even caught her walking along my railing on my deck, so she is not afraid of heights or to explore. The only time she went over the fence is when someone was on the other side, so she must go to a home with a high fence as it does deter her from escaping. Jade is extremely observant, even started barking at a passing by airplane.
Whoever ends up with Jade will be the lucky ones as she has much to give!
Jade is being fostered in Lake Villa, IL. For more information – only after completing an application –contact colleenkoziol@aol.com Please list you location so we can search for your application.
