Romeo - AR

March 14, 2010

Romeo has been adopted!

January 12, 2010

Romeo is a young appearing Blenheim male who is probably 15-20 months old.  He is very active, energetic and playful.  He is also very smart and is learning basic commands quickly.  He needs an active family who will work with him and channel his energy.  Since he loves to run and jump, he probably would really enjoy agility competition.  He will run and play with a couple of his foster siblings, but at the same time his activity level tends to annoy the older Cavaliers in the household.  He would probably do best in a home with younger dogs or even by himself.  He is not food aggressive, but has had a couple of instances of toy aggression with the other dogs in his foster home.

He will need to have a fenced yard with room to run.  He may be an escape artist as he came to rescue as a result of either getting out, then getting lost or he was a drop off.  He is housebroken and his marking instinct has been greatly reduced since being neutered.   He may still need a belly band in his new home for a while until he is familiar with his new surroundings.  Romeo is friendly and affectionate, loves to sit on his foster mom's lap or next to her and is friendly with the other dogs in the house.  His foster family says he has been a welcome and lovable member of their canine family!

Romeo is looking forward to his new forever home and will be a wonderful addition to it!  He is being fostered in northern Arkansas.  Please complete an adoption application first, then contact LSCavs@aol.com of your interest.  Please include your location in that e-mail.
