Andy has a home of his own with lots of Cavalier play companions.  He'll be living and enjoying life with his new family in NY.   He's come a long way since his rescue.

Andy is still a timid boy.  It's taken awhile but after lots of patience, he will occasionally approach his foster mom and dad on his own, rather than run away.  He really loves to play with other dogs so he must have play companions in his adoptive home. An adult home would be his preference.

Andy is a 2 year-old black & tan boy who came from an Amish farm in Lancaster County, PA.  He's another lucky dog that came to rescue because the breeders were forced to downsize to meet the state's requirements for kennels.  Andy is very timid with people.  He will not do well in a home with lots of activity or with children.  He needs someone who can respect his fear and gradually work with him.  Andy does love other dogs and it's just a joy to watch him play with most of the dogs in his foster home.  He's becoming the social director of fun activities here and also of some mischief!  Multiple canine play companions would be ideal for him.  Andy is still working on his housebreaking so patience and tolerance of his accidents is also necessary. 

Andy is without a heart murmur and his knees are also strong.  He doesn' like to be crated and left alone so a home where someone is home to spend time with him would be best.  Also, a physically fenced yard is required.  He is too timid to be traumatized by a leash right now.   That will come later as he learns to trust people.  He likes to stay close to his foster mom and watch her from a distance.  He's not too sure about being touched yet but he is curious of people.
