Hope is an adorable little 2 1/2 year old freckle faced Blenheim Cavalier. She

is tiny weighing in at only 11 pounds! She came into rescue after being released

from a commercial breeding farm. She may not have had a very nice life for the last two years, but she is quickly

flourishing in her life of luxury! She is still shy, trying to make up her mind

about people and their new role in her life. But she has made leaps and bounds

since being in foster!

Once she trusts you she starts to follow you around, and intently watches

everything you do. She is intensely curious and incredibly smart. She has gotten

a little too curious about shoes and how yummy they are, but is on the path to

learning that they are a no-no! She loves other dogs, she will run and play with

them outside all day if you’d let her! She loves being outside and is an

energetic fast runner, sometimes almost flying through the air! She would

probably do well in agility and it would be a good challenge for her. But she

also enjoys curling up on the couch and relaxing with her dog and human

companions. She is on her way to being fully house trained, and is crate

trained.

When she first came into foster she was very skinny and very scared. Since then

she has been slowly warming up, and now does approach people very cautiously to

get a few pets before needing a break. She can be picked up and carried, and if

you hold her in your lap she will stay and get comfy, but isn’t quite ready to

climb into your lap on her own just yet. She has also gained a pound and is

eating very well! She has no heart murmur, no mobility issues, has been wormed

and is fully vaccinated, spayed and has a microchip. She also had a dental

cleaning.

Hope must have a home with a fenced yard (not an invisible fence)  to safely contain all her puppy-like

excitement, very mature older children only.   Hope also insists on have another dog or dogs in the home for canine companionship.  With time, love, and attention Hope

will be a cherished family member!
